Job Summary
The Senior Cost Analysis Engineer provides basic cost estimating and product cost management support to internal stakeholders, conducting cost analyses and identifying cost reduction opportunities throughout the product life cycle.
Responsibilities
Key Duties

Perform varied simple to moderate analyses of aircraft systems, including preparation of parametric, analogous, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates

Support design trade studies and cost reduction initiatives throughout the product life cycle

Support supplier engagements with "Should Cost" analysis of aircraft systems

Evaluate part manufacturing processes for cost-out opportunities
-
Establish cost targets and report cost performance metrics for integrated product teams

Evaluate costs of equivalent supplier products for best value
-
Prepare Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) for proposal evaluations

Promote standardization of cost engineering best practices across programs
Requirements
-
2+ years of experience in a wide range of estimating activities (preferred)
-
Prior experience working with U.S. government customers (preferred)

Specific knowledge of one or more cost estimating software systems (TruePlanning, aPriori, SEER, etc.) (preferred)

Aerospace and Defense experience in new product development, production, and sustainment (preferred)

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint*), PowerPoint, etc.) (required)

Strong writing and presentation skills (required)
Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Accounting, Economics, or Business (required)
