Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Inspector responsible for overseeing and performing aircraft maintenance to ensure airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer guidelines. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage a team of mechanics while ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in aircraft maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and company policies.
  • Provide leadership by assigning, prioritizing, and tracking maintenance tasks, ensuring that all objectives are met efficiently.
  • Oversee incoming aircraft inspections, ensuring proper placement, protection, and evaluation upon arrival.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and determining the best repair methods.
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to accurately diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assign work to maintenance personnel, manage performance improvement plans, and provide on-the-job training in procedures, safety, and best practices.
  • Test operations and perform necessary repairs or adjustments on:
    • Engines, engine controls, and accessories
    • Propellers and control systems
    • Landing gear and hydraulic systems
    • Flight controls and rigging adjustments
    • Fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems
  • Keep management informed of any work delays or technical issues that could impact operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance personnel are qualified for assigned tasks and provide guidance as needed.
  • Travel for off-site maintenance and repairs as required, working independently to resolve technical issues.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge through training and study materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of (5) five years of corporate aircraft maintenance experience.
  • (1) year of inspection experience preferred
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification required.
  • IA Certification is a plus; not required.
  • Must pass a (10) ten-year background check and participate in random drug and alcohol testing per DOT and FAA regulations.
  • Ability to travel as needed for maintenance work.
  • Flexible work schedule required, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Fluency in English required.
